Hello
I am Natalya Kljajic.
I’m a freelance illustrator and visual artist based in Chicago, IL with a focus on childrens’ media, fine art painting and interior mural design.
After studying at the Art Institute of Chicago I have been working in and around the Chicago area creating custom wall murals as well as commissioned pieces. My illustration work focuses on figurative and narrative illustration. Centering on characters, relationships and everyday moments. I pay attention to creating illustrations that are respectful and diverse, helping clients communicate their ideas with clarity and care.
I believe in working with your ideas and direction as well as offering design ideas to accentuate ant project or space.

This all depends on the design. If it’s realism, it will take longer than an abstracted piece.
Literary Illustration- Depending on the type of work, time and usage. Please contact to discuss the project idea and I will send over the proposal for pricing.
Was Murals- I tend to charge per square foot, and depending on the material used. Pieces that require metal leafing or mixed media with textile will be priced slightly different. Travel, scaffolding, and design regions are also factored into the final pricing. Contact me to get a general idea.

We begin with a preliminary discussion on what the project is and what you envision. This can be very specific with a clear design already available, or you have no idea and need help. After agreeing on the design inspirations I begin the work of creating general mockups. In the second phase I send you my designs and we revise until the final image is polished and complete.
Wall murals- The painting can take anywhere from a week to a month. Depending on the wall prep or art concept. The final result is a completely unique space or piece to your liking.
